We will once again hold our Snake Avoidance Clinic at Lee Martinez Park in Fort Collins (near the baseball field). Two dogs will be assigned to each 15 minute time slot, and will go through the course on a first come first serve basis.

The next Rattlesnake proofing clinic will be offered Sunday, April 30th, 2023. Cost is $75 for new clients and $25 for refreshers.

Offered to all immunized dogs 5 months old and older.

We use both live bull and corn snakes and reanimated (dead) rattlesnakes in order to first test each dog on their reaction to snakes and then teach the dog that snakes are to be avoided. No snakes are harmed in this workshop. Bull snakes are released after the class and the reanimated rattlesnakes are fresh road kill we have found. We do use an E-collar (electronic) for the training.

Format: Owners will stay in their cars until their assigned time to run through the course with their dog. At that point, an assistant will come get owner and dog and explain the course. After the dog successfully navigates the course and reacts appropriately to the live snake, owners are free to leave.

Date/Times:  April 30th, 2023. Owners will choose a one hour time frame upon sign up and will be contacted with their 15 minute slot within that time frame. Available time frames are 10am-11, 11-12p and 1-2p.

Cost: $75 regular registration. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED VIA VENMO OR GOOGLE PAY BEFORE INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENT TIMES WILL BE GIVEN. Refunds will only be issued if cancellation occurs at least three days prior to the clinic. After that time, payment is forfeit.
